Our first full day in Crown Heights begins as it should – With a visit to the Mikvah. No photos, for obvious reasons.

In truth, our first full day started with a 90 minute struggle to get out of bed, but I won’t go into that with too much detail… Again, no photos.

After the Mikvah (we went to the one at 749), we crossed Eastern Parkway to daven at 770. Though we arrived a little late in the morning, minyonim were breaking out all over the place, so we had no difficulties, thank G-d.

On the way out we stopped by the little Shul in the back. This is where I had my first (and thus far only) 770 Shabbos Aliah. It was 13 years ago, and it was a very memorable event in general, but the most memorable moment was when I forgot my name as I was called up to the Torah… Hey, what do you want? It’s 770!! Anyway, a very limited image of this Shul is directly below (difficult to photograph during a busy morning).

After that brief walk down memory lane, we reversed course and walked up to the front of the Shul. We visited the Rebbe’s corner. The boys were blown away. Picture of the Rebbe’s space and the big Aron Kodesh also below.
